Dubai Chocolate Baked & Blended Oats
This dish marries the comforting, hearty goodness of oats with the luxurious sweetness of chocolate and the sweet green crunch of toasted kataifi—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a midday treat.
Ingredients
- 1 C. Dry Uncooked Oats
- 1 Banana
- 1/2 C. Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 2 Tbsp. Natural Sweetener
- 1 Tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
- 1/8 Tsp. Salt
- 2 Tbsp. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 Tsp. Butter
- 1 1/4 Oz. Kataifi (Shredded Fillo Dough)
- 1 Oz. Pistachio Cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. and lightly coat the inside of a couple of ramekins with non-stick baking spray; set aside.
- In a blender, food processor, or the cup of an immersion blender, puree the 1 C. Dry Uncooked Oats, 1 Banana, 1/2 C. Unsweetened Almond Milk, 2 Tbsp. Natural Sweetener, 1 Tsp. Baking Soda, 1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract, 1/8 Tsp. Salt, and a few drops of blue food coloring.
- Stir in the 2 Tbsp. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips.
- Divide the oat mixture evenly between the two ramekins; set aside.
- Lightly coat the inside of a medium skillet with non-stick spray and add in the 1 Tsp. Butter. Heat over medium-high heat to melt the butter.
- Add in the 1 1/4 Oz. Kataifi (Shredded Fillo Dough) and cook for a couple of minutes until browned and crispy.
- Remove from the heat and stir together with 1 Oz. Pistachio Cream to mix well.
- Divide the mixture evenly between the two ramekins.
- Top with any further chocolate or pistachios.
- Place the dishes into the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until set and cooked through.
- Once done, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before enjoying right away!
